Christmas Worship Services at Ascension Lutheran Church
Christmas Eve and Christmas Day Worship
Join Ascension Lutheran Church in celebrating the peace and joy of the Christmas season with Word, song, and meal–all celebrating the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Ascension Lutheran Church is a safe haven where all generations and cultures are wanted, welcomed, and accepted in Christ.
Worship Schedule & Information
The 5:00 PM Christmas Eve Family Worship Service is especially appropriate for families with small children. The service will include a special children’s message, Scripture readings, favorite Christmas carols, and Holy Communion.
The 10:00 PM Christmas Eve Candlelight Worship Service is a favorite worship service for many, as it uses the traditional format of Nine Lessons and Carols. The service of Nine Lessons and Carols uses Scripture readings and music to recount the story of Jesus’ birth–not only the nativity itself, but also the Old Testament stories that lead up to our Savior’s birth. Holy Communion will be served.
Music at both Christmas Eve services will be provided by organ, piano, and a brass ensemble, and the Chancel Choir will sing at the 10:00 PM service.
The 10:00 AM Christmas Day Worship Service will include Scripture, favorite carols, and Holy Communion.
Please note that nursery care will not be provided during these special services.
We hope you are able to join us!
